Dachshunds are a small breed of dog that were originally bred in Germany to hunt badgers. They are one of the most sought after dogs on dogs.ie. They are also sometimes called "sausage dogs" because of their long, slender bodies. Dachshunds come in three coat varieties: smooth, wire-haired, and longhaired. They are loyal and affectionate dogs that make great companions. Dachshunds are relatively easy to train, but they can be stubborn at times! They often suffer from back issues, intervertebral disc disease, due to their longer spines. They are dolichocephalic (long-faced) dogs, and thus are more prone to nasal fungal & bacterial infections. As with all breeds you should always learn a little bit about the breed.

Lenny is available for stud for suitable females, this is his first stud. He is microchipped, PRA cleared and he doesn’t carry the dapple gene ( have his complete colour panel ) He weighs 4.3 KG, is up to date with all vaccines / worms and vet appointments He is more than a pet to me he is my son and a part of the family so studding him is only open for suitable females who are also IKC / KC registered. I ideally would like to find a healthy and well tempered female whose owner is focused on producing healthy puppy’s. Our gorgeous 1-year-old pedigree wire-haired dachshund is available for stud. He has beautiful wild boar colouring, a lovely wire-haired coat and is a really handsome little dog. He comes from pedigree lines, with his mother from Athlone and his father coming from European lines. Temperament-wise, he is an absolute sweetheart. He is an incredibly loyal, affectionate and loving family dog with such a funny little personality. He loves his food and treats, adores cuddles and is happiest being around his people. He has grown up with our other dachshund, Rufus, and the two get on brilliantly. He is playful, sociable and very much part of our family. He has a lovely build and gorgeous colouring, but his temperament is what we love most about him — he is a happy, affectionate little dog with bags of character. Charlie has a beautiful fur coat that is chestnut brown in colour and has streaks of black and light brown combining to be a really beautiful appearance. He dotted coal black eyes, a nose and eyebrows, whiskers etc. He is large for a Dachshund with longer legs giving him better back support, greater athleticism and overall a healthier dog. A real specimen. His temperament requires daily attention to walking, attention and playfulness. He has been socialised since he was a pup around people and other dogs and has a great temperament. Charlie is a registered therapy dog in addition to his growth and exposure to people while young, Charlie has participated in youth centres for special needs children.

The dog has a lovely temperament but also a mischievous side and certainly gives us a laugh! He is well exercised and eats a very healthy diet. He has no history of any medical conditions and visits the vet annually. Next visit is July . Presley is a healthy, happy 1-year-old Isabella Miniature Long-Haired Dachshund, weighing approximately 7kg, with beautiful green/gold/grey eyes (he was born with bright blue eyes). He has an amazing temperament — incredibly friendly, affectionate, active and sociable. He is also very clever and easy to train, loves learning new things and has a really fun, outgoing personality. He loves people and gets along brilliantly with other dogs. As this would be Presley’s first litter, we are not looking for a stud fee. Our only request would be to keep one female puppy from the litter.
