They have a thick coat of fur that is usually white or liver-coloured, with black or brown markings. Setters are gentle and loving dogs, but they need a lot of exercise and space to run. There are four main types of setters, The Irish setter (pictured), Gordon setter, English setter, and Irish red and white setter.
