Setters are a breed of dogs that are used for hunting. They are bred to be able to find and point to game birds. Setters are usually large dogs, with long legs and a long body. They have a thick coat of fur that is usually white or liver-coloured, with black or brown markings. Setters are gentle and loving dogs, but they need a lot of exercise and space to run. There are four main types of setters, The Irish setter (pictured), Gordon setter, English setter, and Irish red and white setter.

IKC Registered Gordon Setter

Wicklow Setter Age: 4 years
Guy is an extraordinary IKC registered Gordon Setter dog. He is incredibly affectionate towards other dogs and humans. He loves being outdoors and going rough shooting is his favourite three months of the year! He is extremely gentle and loves getting your attention by taking your slipper or other object of yours that's lying around. He lives with his 'brother' who's an English Setter and they have bonded like true brothers. They're a similar age and although neither are neutered they play together and adore one another. Guy comes from a long line of Gordon Setters; a breed known for being loyal and affectionate. Guy loves 'talking' to you...whether it's making his own inimitable sounds or staring into your eyes!
