Today, the practice is managed by Richard and his business partner John, who initially joined Sandymount as an assistant in 2005. Together, they are supported by a team of amiable, proficient veterinarians and nurses, each with a keen interest in various aspects of veterinary medicine. Established in 2003, Sunbeam Veterinary Clinic in Blackpool began as a modest operation with Veterinary Surgeon Dermot Cunningham and a single veterinary nurse. The local community quickly recognized the high-quality service provided, and within a few years, the clinic expanded into a full-fledged veterinary hospital. As the number of pets seeking care grew, additional staff members were required, leading to the hiring of Veterinary Surgeon Joe Keane. Continued expansion and enhancement of the facilities resulted in the establishment of three more clinics, located in Cobh, Passage West, and near the Kinsale Road Roundabout. Today, our team consists of nine full-time Veterinary Surgeons, 15 fully qualified Veterinary Nurses, a Veterinary Nursing hydrotherapist, and four office staff/receptionists spread across our four locations: Sunbeam Veterinary Hospital in Blackpool, Sunbeam Veterinary Clinic on Kinsale Road, Sunbeam Veterinary Clinic in Ticknock Retail Park, Cobh, and Sunbeam Veterinary Clinic in Passage West.

Our multidisciplinary team consists of seven vets, three registered veterinary nurses, and eight support staff. Kieran O'Mahony MVB joined Ireland's oldest veterinary practice in Tipperary in 1998. Established in 1904 by Alan Baker, a Trinity College graduate, the practice began at Lismacue House, Bansha, later taken over by his son, William. Eventually, the business relocated to Main Street, Bansha, and then to Blind Street, Tipperary, where it operated for nearly three decades.
