Dachshunds are a small breed of dog that were originally bred in Germany to hunt badgers. They are one of the most sought after dogs on dogs.ie. They are also sometimes called "sausage dogs" because of their long, slender bodies. Dachshunds come in three coat varieties: smooth, wire-haired, and longhaired. They are loyal and affectionate dogs that make great companions. Dachshunds are relatively easy to train, but they can be stubborn at times! They often suffer from back issues, intervertebral disc disease, due to their longer spines. They are dolichocephalic (long-faced) dogs, and thus are more prone to nasal fungal & bacterial infections. As with all breeds you should always learn a little bit about the breed.

Due to no fault of his own we need to rehome this beautiful playful little male Dachshund puppy. Our older dog whom is usually very placid and we have had for 14 years is really not a fan of our new addition and it really isn't safe to keep him unfortunately. We are looking for a really lovely home for him where he can be appreciated. He is very placid, playful and loves to cuddle up on the couch. He gets along very well with other dogs, ours just isn't a fan. Microchipped, wormed and vaccinated.
