Dachshunds are a small breed of dog that were originally bred in Germany to hunt badgers. They are one of the most sought after dogs on dogs.ie. They are also sometimes called "sausage dogs" because of their long, slender bodies. Dachshunds come in three coat varieties: smooth, wire-haired, and longhaired. They are loyal and affectionate dogs that make great companions. Dachshunds are relatively easy to train, but they can be stubborn at times! They often suffer from back issues, intervertebral disc disease, due to their longer spines. They are dolichocephalic (long-faced) dogs, and thus are more prone to nasal fungal & bacterial infections. As with all breeds you should always learn a little bit about the breed.

I have 2 black & tan Dachshund puppies left from this gorgeous litter, a boy and a girl. This is my third and last litter with the mom. I own her and you can visit the dad anytime you want. He has been the same dad for the other two litters. We are a very close family and keep in touch with anyone who buys a puppy. We have parties, play dates and Christmas family reunions! They were born before Christmas in my sitting room and have been living their best life there since. Absolutely fully socialised with other dogs, big and small (I own a Setter and Cocker Spaniel too) and kids. Puppies are pad potty trained and eating nuts. You can check out their journey so far on my insta page and hopefully this will alleviate any concerns of background or health issues. There is no IVDD in my lines and I am fully on hand for training well after the puppy goes to the new home. You are welcome to come and visit or even take the puppy for a night or two to see if it's something you can integrate to your family life. I have any amount of pictures and videos to share of them and won't be meeting you in a carpark to sell them!

Very rare kaninchen size long haired male Dachshund dog, IKC registered. Chili is a very kind and people-oriented dog. He loves to be petted all day long. If you sit down, half a minute later he's on your lap. An active dog that requires a lot of activity. I don't want to give him to a place where there are a lot of dogs because it tends to "mark/pee". He can only go to a place where he is the only dog with many activities, or there are a maximum of one other dog with him. With us, he can go out into the garden at any time through the dog door, so we are looking for a similar place for him. We only sell near us, where we can check the family, and later we can bring our female dog to him for mating. Chili comes from the kennel of the president of the Hungarian Dachshund breeders' association, i.e. He has an outstanding bloodline. He needs a lot of attention. Not at all prices, and not for sale to just anyone. Inspection only, to a 5-star home, no more than 100-120 km from Longford.
