Dachshunds are a small breed of dog that were originally bred in Germany to hunt badgers. They are one of the most sought after dogs on dogs.ie. They are also sometimes called "sausage dogs" because of their long, slender bodies. Dachshunds come in three coat varieties: smooth, wire-haired, and longhaired. They are loyal and affectionate dogs that make great companions. Dachshunds are relatively easy to train, but they can be stubborn at times! They often suffer from back issues, intervertebral disc disease, due to their longer spines. They are dolichocephalic (long-faced) dogs, and thus are more prone to nasal fungal & bacterial infections. As with all breeds you should always learn a little bit about the breed.

We have 3 gorgeous Miniature Dachshund puppies in a very well marked Black and Tan colour ready to go to committed and loving homes.  The puppies are currently 9 weeks old which for the Dachshund breed is an ideal age for them to transition into there new homes. The puppies both have very enthusiastic and playful temperaments, as do both parents. We own both parents of the puppies & have bred the parents ourselves also ensuring transparency across the pedigree and health history. Neither parents have any health issues and the puppies have had a health check completed by our vet and are in perfect health.  We have worked to ensure the puppies transition into their new home will be as smooth as possible for them, we have done toilet training and sleep training with the puppies along with a routine daily to provide stimulation and enrichment. This is very important for their development and independence which will be noticed during their transition. We will provide advice on this to the new owners before the puppy is taken home.  The Miniature Dachshund as a breed are very loyal, friendly and affectionate. They are quite a low maintence breed and enjoy plenty of time on the sofa however do require a moderate level of exercise daily.
