The Basset Hound is a short-legged breed of dog of the hound family. The Basset is a scent hound that was originally bred for the purpose of hunting hare. Their sense of smell for tracking is second only to that of the Bloodhound. The name Basset is derived from the French word bas, meaning "low", with the attenuating suffix -et meaning "little", together meaning "low thing".

Kilkenny Basset Hound Age: 11 weeks 2 Males
We have a beautiful litter of Basset Hound puppies. Both Mother and Father are IKC registered and have a lovely temperament. They can be viewed at our home. Our puppies have been brought up as part our family and have a sweet and affectionate nature. They are kind and gentle with adults, children and around other dogs. Our puppies are wormed, vaccinated, microchipped and vet checked ensuring they are in the best of health. We are looking for 5* Basset Loving Homes. Their puppy pack includes microchip certificate, vaccination card and a bag of their food.
