The American Bully is a relatively new breed of dog that was developed in the United States in the 1990s. It is a cross between the American Pit Bull Terrier and the American Staffordshire Terrier. The American Bully is a large, muscular dog with a short, thick coat. It is available in a variety of colours, including black, blue, brindle, and white. The American Bully is a loyal and loving companion that can get on well with children and other pets (proper training is a must⚠️). As the American Bully, is a cross of a dog that's on the restricted list (American Pit Bull Terrier), this dog too would be on the restricted dogs list. They come in a number of sizes, (from smallest to largest) "Pocket Bully", "Classic Bully", "Standard Bully", "XL Bully" and sometime referred to as an "Extreme Bully" they are similar in height to the Standard or XL but with exaggerated features. Since October 1st 2024 it is illegal to buy, sell, re-home or rescue an XL Bully.

Kylo is a male Pocket Bully adult dog in Cork

Cork American Bully Age: 3 years 1 Male
Due to relocation to US we have to rehome our dog Kylo. He is a 3 year 9 month old Pocket Bully that is looking for his forever home where his owner can give him the time and training he needs to overcome his anxiety. He is microchipped and neutered. At home he loves nothing more than sunbathing in the garden or laying on the couch cuddled up to you (he’s like your own personal weighted blanket) but once he goes outside he thinks the whole world is out to get him, because of this he is very anxious and reactive. Despite lots of one-one training, residential training and trials from veterinary medications unfortunately we do not have the time to continue to help him overcome his anxieties. He loves going to private dog parks where he can run free and chase anything you throw (good luck getting it back though). He is very food motivated and if you ever ask “are you hungry” or “do you want a treat” he will give you a few howls as his way of saying yes obviously! He knows a few tricks, he will sit and wait to start eating his food until you say “break”(although he’ll be vibrating with excitement), he can sit, give the paw and the “other paw”, he can spin and jump up. He does have very sensitive skin and tummy, so he has a strict duck flavour hypoallergenic grain free diet (he’s allergic to chicken, turkey, beef etc). We are very reluctant to rehome Kylo as he is such a slob and he is very loved. He would be best suited to a pet free/adult only home with no children (children over 13 may suit) as although he is short, he is a big boy weighing 30kg. Contact Sarah on +353892148651
