The Scottish Deerhound is a large breed of hound, once used primarily for hunting deer, and now mostly a family pet. They are gentle, loving dogs that get along well with other animals and children. They require a lot of exercise, and love to run and play. They are also very independent, and can be a bit stubborn at times. Scottish Deerhounds are loyal and protective of their family, and make great watchdogs. They are relatively easy to train. They are similar to Irish Wolfhounds in many ways.

Three Scottish Deerhound X puppies (one male brindle and two female brindles) are available near Kilkenny. They are good-natured, have been vaccinated and wormed, and are ready to join their new homes. Each puppy is just over 2 months old. Scottish Deerhounds are typically calm, gentle and make affectionate companions, often doing well in homes that can provide regular exercise and space to stretch their long legs. If you'd like more information or to arrange a visit, please get in touch. Loyal companion with great temperment, all puppies have been brought up around children.
