Koda – Miniature Dachshund (Kaninchenteckel) Looking for a Loving New Home 🐾

I’m sadly looking for a new loving home for my dog, Koda, due to personal circumstances. This is a very difficult decision, and my priority is finding him a caring family who will give him the love, attention, and happy home he deserves. Koda is originally from Spain where I purchased him and is now registered in Ireland.

Koda is a wonderful little dog with a loving, energetic, and intelligent personality. He is very social with both people and other dogs and is great with children. He is also extremely well travelled and is comfortable with city life, public transport, and new environments.

Because of his energetic and affectionate nature, I feel he would be particularly happy with a family that has plenty of space for him to run around and play, ideally with access to a garden or outdoor area. Most importantly, he needs a family who will give him plenty of love, attention, exercise, and companionship.

I’m hoping to find Koda a safe, loving, and permanent home where he will truly be part of the family.

1. Ask sellers to provide an ID (driver's licence / passport) and take note of their contact details. You will also need to provide the same & a proof of address to transfer the microchip to your name.
2. Note microchip IDs posted here (900263001897815) and check the microchip certificates (important) when you visit to make sure they match and the sellers details are on the certificate too (see example microchip certificates).
3. Do not purchase a dog without seeing a microchip certificate. It is illegal to sell a dog without a microchip that's fully registered (info).
4. Do not purchase a dog from a seller in a car park or other business location.
5. Ask sellers about the vet who has taken care of the dogs. Ask for the dog's vaccination certificate(s).
6. Use our contract template www.dogs.ie/contract or another as a basis for a written contract & ask for a written receipt.
7. It's best not to bring young kids to first meetings, to avoid disappointment in the case you decide not to buy a dog.
