The Irish Wolfhound is one of the Irish native breeds of dogs. The name originates from its purpose—wolf hunting with dogs—rather than from its appearance. It is the tallest of all recognised breeds. Irish Wolfhounds can be an imposing sight, standing as high as 32 inches at the shoulder and weighing as much as 180 pounds (80 kgs). Despite their formidable appearance, they are gentle giants and are truly devoted to their families. They are also relatively calm dogs, the tend to love lounging on sofas! Irish Wolfhounds come in many colours, including Black, White, Brindle, Fawn, Red, Grey. Note: Life expectancy is between 7-10 years. Larger dogs tend to have shorter lifespans than smaller dogs.

Genghis Estrela Mountain dog. The Estrela Mountain Dog is a large breed of dog from the Estrela Mountains of Portugal bred to guard herds and homesteads. They are "one of the oldest breeds in the Iberian Peninsula. Age: 22 months Weight: 69 kgs. Height: 30" at shoulders. Appearance: Barbary Lion like. Temperment: playful, good-natured, intelligent, independent, extremely strong. ⚠️ Don't plan on having one of these in a small back garden or pen. He's named Genghis after Genghis Khan (the largest land owner in history) for a reason. This breed likes to roam, protect and guard its territory. The estrella is quiet, calm and playful but can tap into the strength and power of a lion if they need/want to making them a fantastic guardian for livestock or the homestead. Please understand these are big powerful dogs not Christmas gifts, Collectable fashion accessories, or a means to compensate for a lack of masculinity. The Estrela don't suffer with hip or joint issues as many large dogs suffer with in old age. Irish Wolfhound IKC registered for Stud

Wexford Irish Wolfhound Age: 2 years

Our family pet Fionn is available for stud from 14.02.2024 as he turns two. He's a very strong and healthy dog with good bone structure and he's very gentle with our three young children, our black lab other dogs and our chickens.
