The record holder for the tallest dog ever is a Great Dane called Zeus, who measured 111.8 cm (44.0 in) from paw to shoulder. Great Danes are one of the heaviest breeds of dogs, typically weighing between 100 and 120 lb (45 and 54 kg). The Great Dane is a working dog developed originally for hunting boar, deer and bear.

Waterford Great Dane Age: 5 years

Mr Tubridy our Great Dane is in super condition, muscular, active & very fit. He is weighing 61 kilo's & comes from an excellent line of pedigree of show standard. He is gentle, placid & has been reared with other dogs & children & is very obedient, fawn in colour with a black mask and excellent markings. He has an excellent hip and elbow score and has had thyroid, eyes and heart test - all in order. Excellent temperament , was reared with three other family dogs and five children.
