Loving, active home wanted for Indiana Jones

Indi—short for Indiana—is a gorgeous purebred 10-month-old Shih Tzu, born on 20 October 2025. He is vaccinated, microchipped, neutered and house-trained.

Indi is affectionate, sociable and full of personality, with lots of energy and a wonderfully bouncy nature. He particularly loves meeting and playing with other dogs during his walks in the park.

Indi is our sixth Shih Tzu, but now that we are in our sixties, we have reluctantly realised that having three Shih Tzus is too many; his energy would suit a younger or more active household better. The right loving home is extremely important to us, and we would like to hear from serious applicants who can offer him plenty of exercise, companionship and attention.

2. Choose carefully what information you share about yourself in your messages. Do share info if you have a garden, young kids, or other suitable information to help the seller know you are a suitable buyer.

1. Ask sellers to provide an ID (driver's licence / passport) and take note of their contact details. You will also need to provide the same & a proof of address to transfer the microchip to your name.
2. Note microchip IDs posted here (981098109295217) and check the microchip certificates (important) when you visit to make sure they match and the sellers details are on the certificate too (see example microchip certificates).
3. Do not purchase a dog without seeing a microchip certificate. It is illegal to sell a dog without a microchip that's fully registered (info).
4. Do not purchase a dog from a seller in a car park or other business location.
5. Ask sellers about the vet who has taken care of the dogs. Ask for the dog's vaccination certificate(s).
6. Use our contract template www.dogs.ie/contract or another as a basis for a written contract & ask for a written receipt.
7. It's best not to bring young kids to first meetings, to avoid disappointment in the case you decide not to buy a dog.
