Rottweiler dogs are a large and powerful breed. They were originally bred in Germany to be working dogs, and they are still used for that purpose in many parts of the world. Rottweilers are intelligent and loyal dogs, and they make excellent guard dogs. They are also good with children, although they may be too rough for very young children. Rottweilers need to be well-trained and socialised from an early age, or they can become aggressive. Rottweilers are on the restricted dogs list.
