Male Border Collie X Jack Russell/Pomeranian, 14 months old in Kildare

Playful, friendly and active 14 month old male Border Collie x Jack Russell/Pomeranian (born July 2024).

Mother is a Jack Russell x Pomeranian and father is a purebred Border Collie.

He loves chasing balls, soccer and getting belly rubs. Reluctantly rehoming as we have moved and the dog has not settled, and feel it is unfair on our much loved pet.

Seeking an active family home that can give the dog the time and attention he deserves. Has some basic training, but needs a bit of a refresher as the move has set him back. Very happy dog, gets on with other dogs & children very well, his ideal world is to be outside running around all day and lying at your feet in front of the fire all night. He will need an enclosed yard.

He is microchipped & fully registered on fido.ie, any new owner will have their details updated on the register. He is vaccinated and recently treated for worms/fleas, registered with a vet in Clane and could continue there if the new owners wished. Not neutered or groomed yet as he has just turned 14 months old, and is now old enough.

1. Ask sellers to provide an ID (driver's licence / passport) and take note of their contact details. You will also need to provide the same & a proof of address to transfer the microchip to your name.
2. Note microchip IDs posted here (972274200541311) and check the microchip certificates (important) when you visit to make sure they match and the sellers details are on the certificate too (see example microchip certificates).
3. Do not purchase a dog without seeing a microchip certificate. It is illegal to sell a dog without a microchip that's fully registered (info).
4. Do not purchase a dog from a seller in a car park or other business location.
5. Ask sellers about the vet who has taken care of the dogs. Ask for the dog's vaccination certificate(s).
6. Use our contract template www.dogs.ie/contract or another as a basis for a written contract & ask for a written receipt.
7. It's best not to bring young kids to first meetings, to avoid disappointment in the case you decide not to buy a dog.
