IKC Registered Irish Wolfhound puppies in Longford - €2500

Cúdáráth Irishwolfhounds have 2 remaining puppies due to people on our waiting list pushing into 2026 these are available, normally all puppies are reserved.

All puppies are IKC registered, livershunt tested and wormed to date.

Our puppies go with a promise of breeder support for life and a back to breeder policy if anything in your life may change and you can no longer care for your hound, we will take them back.

We have created a community of like minded people who like to help each other. We organise gatherings within the Cúdáráth family and will continue to enjoy meet ups for years to come.

Our dogs go to America, the UK and Europe and some are in Irish heritage castles. Health is important and we give guidance on rearing. We also check in on our hounds as they grow and aim to visit them along the way in their life.

The Irish Wolfhound is now a recognised heritage breed and we take great pride in being part of their continuation.

1. Keep communication through our messaging system for as long as possible.
2. Choose carefully what information you share about yourself in your messages. Do share info if you have a garden, young kids, or other suitable information to help the seller know you are a suitable buyer.

1. Ask sellers to provide an ID (driver's licence / passport) and take note of their contact details. You will also need to provide the same & a proof of address to transfer the microchip to your name.
2. Note microchip IDs posted here (981098109212550, 981098109212562) and check the microchip certificates (important) when you visit to make sure they match and the sellers details are on the certificate too (see example microchip certificates).
3. Do not purchase a dog without seeing a microchip certificate. It is illegal to sell a dog without a microchip that's fully registered (info).
4. See puppies in their home environment and see the mother of puppies.
5. Make sure the puppy is 8 weeks before taking ownership of the dog (closer to 10-12 weeks is even better).
6. Do not pay a deposit until you've met the owner & puppy in person.
7. Do not purchase a dog from a seller in a car park or other business location.
8. Ask sellers about the vet who has taken care of the dogs. Ask for the dog's vaccination certificate(s).
9. Use our contract template www.dogs.ie/contract or another as a basis for a written contract & ask for a written receipt.
10. It's best not to bring young kids to first meetings, to avoid disappointment in the case you decide not to buy a dog.
