Dachshunds are a small breed of dog that were originally bred in Germany to hunt badgers. They are one of the most sought after dogs on dogs.ie. They are also sometimes called "sausage dogs" because of their long, slender bodies. Dachshunds come in three coat varieties: smooth, wire-haired, and longhaired. They are loyal and affectionate dogs that make great companions. Dachshunds are relatively easy to train, but they can be stubborn at times! They often suffer from back issues, intervertebral disc disease, due to their longer spines. They are dolichocephalic (long-faced) dogs, and thus are more prone to nasal fungal & bacterial infections. As with all breeds you should always learn a little bit about the breed.

IKC registered Kaninchen Dachshund puppies. For those unfamiliar with the term, Kaninchen is the smallest breed of daschund, smaller than miniature. Loving, playful, and clever puppies. Puppies have been raised in a family home and are used to being around children. Mother can be viewed with the puppies. Sire can be viewed on Instagram @irish.clover.kennels in the highlight reel titled “Hamish”. The father of the sire of these pups was an entrant in Crufts two years ago - ‘The Ballincorbeg Dog’. All up to date with vaccinations and worming.
