Dachshunds are a small breed of dog that were originally bred in Germany to hunt badgers. They are one of the most sought after dogs on dogs.ie. They are also sometimes called "sausage dogs" because of their long, slender bodies. Dachshunds come in three coat varieties: smooth, wire-haired, and longhaired. They are loyal and affectionate dogs that make great companions. Dachshunds are relatively easy to train, but they can be stubborn at times! They often suffer from back issues, intervertebral disc disease, due to their longer spines. They are dolichocephalic (long-faced) dogs, and thus are more prone to nasal fungal & bacterial infections. As with all breeds you should always learn a little bit about the breed.

These puppies are IKC registered, microchipped, fully vaccinated, wormed and health checked. Both mam and dad (last picture) are our own family dogs with great temperaments and are extremely intelligent. We have a lovely litter of Dachshund puppies available for sale, located in Swords. We have both mom and dad dachshunds and photos available when requested. Mom is an IKC registered brown and tan miniature dachshund with champion grandparents and dad is a pure bred dachshund Black and Tan. These puppies, a female and a male, are currently just under two months old and are characterised by their affectionate temperament. Dachshunds are known for their distinctive long bodies and short legs, making them a unique and endearing breed. These puppies have been vaccinated and wormed and microchipped, ensuring they are healthy and ready for their new homes.
