Dachshunds are a small breed of dog that were originally bred in Germany to hunt badgers. They are one of the most sought after dogs on dogs.ie. They are also sometimes called "sausage dogs" because of their long, slender bodies. Dachshunds come in three coat varieties: smooth, wirehaired, and longhaired. They are loyal and affectionate dogs that make great companions. Dachshunds are relatively easy to train, but they can be stubborn at times! They often suffer from back issues, intervertebral disc disease, due to their longer spines. They dolichocephalic (long-faced) dogs, and are more prone to nasal fungal & bacterial infections.

Beautiful IKC registered Dachshund puppies available from June 22nd -3 females. Mom is our family pet. She is an intelligent and extremely affectionate dog and stunning example of the breed. Mother is Black and Tan and the Sire is Brindle. Picture of Sire can be provided. The puppies are playful, affectionate and have a lovely friendly nature. They have been raised in our home with young children and other dogs. They are now fully weaned eating solid puppy food and drinking water. They have had their first vaccination and examined by my vet. Puppies have a shiny silky coat and are top quality. Price is reflective of this.
