Dachshunds are a small breed of dog that were originally bred in Germany to hunt badgers. They are one of the most sought after dogs on dogs.ie. They are also sometimes called "sausage dogs" because of their long, slender bodies. Dachshunds come in three coat varieties: smooth, wire-haired, and longhaired. They are loyal and affectionate dogs that make great companions. Dachshunds are relatively easy to train, but they can be stubborn at times! They often suffer from back issues, intervertebral disc disease, due to their longer spines. They are dolichocephalic (long-faced) dogs, and thus are more prone to nasal fungal & bacterial infections. As with all breeds you should always learn a little bit about the breed.

Dachshund x Scottish Terrier puppies. Mother is a Scottish Terrier and Father is a wired haired Dachshund. Hagrid is a very friendly outgoing puppy and Paudie is a very friendly puppy, he more laid back. They are really a rare crossbreed and one of a kind. Puppies have gotten their kennel cough and all vaccines and card comes with them too. They won't be huge dogs, they look like their father but don't have extremely short legs long back problem.
