Dachshunds are a small breed of dog that were originally bred in Germany to hunt badgers. They are one of the most sought after dogs on dogs.ie. They are also sometimes called "sausage dogs" because of their long, slender bodies. Dachshunds come in three coat varieties: smooth, wire-haired, and longhaired. They are loyal and affectionate dogs that make great companions. Dachshunds are relatively easy to train, but they can be stubborn at times! They often suffer from back issues, intervertebral disc disease, due to their longer spines. They are dolichocephalic (long-faced) dogs, and thus are more prone to nasal fungal & bacterial infections. As with all breeds you should always learn a little bit about the breed.

Crowley the male Dachshund

Cork Dachshund Age: 6 months 1 Male

Crowley is a male miniature Dachshund, he is a very affectionate dog who loves cuddling up on the couch, he has been around other dogs so he is socialised, he's good on a lead but could to with a small bit more training, he is comfortable around children, he does bark which is normal for Dachshund. I unfortunately have to rehome crowley as my work status has changed and I cannot give crowley the attention he deserves.
