Dachshunds are a small breed of dog that were originally bred in Germany to hunt badgers. They are one of the most sought after dogs on dogs.ie. They are also sometimes called "sausage dogs" because of their long, slender bodies. Dachshunds come in three coat varieties: smooth, wire-haired, and longhaired. They are loyal and affectionate dogs that make great companions. Dachshunds are relatively easy to train, but they can be stubborn at times! They often suffer from back issues, intervertebral disc disease, due to their longer spines. They are dolichocephalic (long-faced) dogs, and thus are more prone to nasal fungal & bacterial infections. As with all breeds you should always learn a little bit about the breed.

Three beautiful male miniature dachshund puppies available. Mum and Dad are our family pets. These beautiful puppies were born in our kitchen and either spend their day socialising in our kitchen or asleep in a bedroom in our home. These little guys have been vet checked, microchipped, regularly wormed and received their 8-1 vaccination, are PRA clear and eating royal canin puppy nuts. If you are considering a dachshund pup please ensure they are PRA clear. One pup is chocolate and tan and the other two males are Black and Tan in colour with excellent markings for their breed. When choosing a pup it’s for at least a decade, please try and choose a reputable breeder. Please don’t compare my pups to those not Ikc registered or pra clear, or whose parents aren’t Ikc registered. I am a member of the IKC. Mam and dad must be met in our home and it’s important for prospective new owners to see how and where our pups are being socialised. Good homes essential.
