Genuine Long Haired Miniature Dachshund male puppy in Longford

We have 1 beautiful male long haired Miniature Dachshund (Red dapple) puppy available for a committed and loving home.

This little guy is 12 weeks old and has had great training and care with us. He was part of a litter of 5 in which his siblings are now all reserved.

We chose to keep the litter a couple of weeks longer to give them additional training to ensure the transition into their new home would be easier with added independence.

He is fully vaccinated (7 in 1 x2), microchipped and registered with FIDO, wormed and de flead as per veterinary schedule.

We own both mum and dad and both parents are healthy happy dogs as are their puppies. The puppies have been checked by our vet and are in good health and ready for their new homes. The parents are also regularly vet checked and are in good health.

We are experienced in the care and breeding of Miniature Dachsunds and have owned our lines of parentage for generations.

He is fully weaned and eating royal canin puppy mini puppy nuts.

1. Ask sellers to provide an ID (driver's licence / passport) and take note of their contact details. You will also need to provide the same & a proof of address to transfer the microchip to your name.
2. Note microchip IDs posted here (972274200737138) and check the microchip certificates (important) when you visit to make sure they match and the sellers details are on the certificate too (see example microchip certificates).
3. Do not purchase a dog without seeing a microchip certificate. It is illegal to sell a dog without a microchip that's fully registered (info).
4. See puppies in their home environment and see the mother of puppies.
5. Make sure the puppy is 8 weeks before taking ownership of the dog (closer to 10-12 weeks is even better).
6. Do not pay a deposit until you've met the owner & puppy in person.
7. Do not purchase a dog from a seller in a car park or other business location.
8. Ask sellers about the vet who has taken care of the dogs. Ask for the dog's vaccination certificate(s).
9. Use our contract template www.dogs.ie/contract or another as a basis for a written contract & ask for a written receipt.
10. It's best not to bring young kids to first meetings, to avoid disappointment in the case you decide not to buy a dog.
11. This seller is a Dog Breeding Establishment (DBE), ask to see their licence from their local authority.
