Gizmo – Shih Tzu available for stud

Gizmo is our gorgeous male Shih Tzu, born 20 October 2022, now available for stud.

He is a substantial, well-built Shih Tzu weighing approximately 15 kg, with a beautiful white and grey coat, gorgeous dark eyes and a wonderfully expressive face.

More importantly, Gizmo has an exceptional personality. He is full of love and fun — extremely affectionate, intelligent, playful and gentle. He absolutely loves children and is a much-loved family pet.

Gizmo is particularly lovely with other animals. He lives happily with our other dogs and three cats and has a naturally caring nature towards them. He is sociable, confident and playful, but also very affectionate and loves being around his family.

Gizmo is fully up to date with his vaccinations, worming and routine veterinary care. His IKC registration is currently being completed.

1. Keep communication through our messaging system for as long as possible.
2. Choose carefully what information you share about yourself.
3. Ask for recent health check certificate from their vet, this should check for known issues with the breed & have details of vaccinations. The AKC has a comprehensive list of their health testing requirements per breed.
4. Ask breeders about their vet who has taken care of the dog and contact the vet directly.
5. Ask breeders to provide their ID (driver's licence / passport) and take note of their contact details.
6. If you are new to breeding, please, please, read this article about breeding dogs.
7. Stud dogs listed need to be 12 months or older. While bigger breeds may mature faster, often health complications don't show until later.
8. Report suspicious activity to your local Garda Station & / or the Department of Agriculture, Food & Marine.
