Presa Canario dogs are a large, powerful breed that was originally bred for working livestock on farms. They are loyal and protective of their family and home, and make excellent guard dogs. They are intelligent and trainable, but can also be headstrong and stubborn. Presa Canarios need plenty of exercise and socialisation, and are not a good fit for first-time dog owners.
