This is OPIE our cracking male GSD 47KG.

Opie is a cracking example of good GSD genetics and he is a very big boy tipping the scales at 47kg while still being 15 months old. Our vet has predicted he could pass the 55/60 kg mark. While standing on his hind legs he is almost 6ft. He is not overweight infact he is a very healty boy. Very active and loves his swimming and forest runs. He gets on good with our female GSD and two smaller dogs. He does not have a fondness for cats. But loves to play with our kids. He is very protective of the house/yard.

He has zero health issues as he is regularly checked with our local vet. He gets lots of attention anywhere we go and people always stare due to his size. But is a gentle giant.

Im sure his pups will become very similar to him. He is not IKC registered.

1. Keep communication through our messaging system for as long as possible.
2. Choose carefully what information you share about yourself.
3. Ask for recent health check certificate from their vet, this should check for known issues with the breed & have details of vaccinations. The AKC has a comprehensive list of their health testing requirements per breed.
4. Ask breeders about the vet who has taken care of the dog and contact the vet directly.
5. Ask breeders to provide their ID (driver's licence / passport) and take note of their contact details.
6. If you are new to breeding, please, please, read this article about breeding dogs.
7. Stud dogs listed need to be 12 months or older. While bigger breeds may mature faster, often health complications don't show until later.
8. Report suspicious activity to your local Garda Station & / or the Department of Agriculture, Food & Marine.
