Blue German Shepherd for stud
Details
Description
Meet Gus.
Gus is our handsome healthy 16 month old blue German Shepherd boy. He has a white underbelly and a mix of white through his bushy tail! His fur is medium to long.
He is from a home with another 9 year old male German Shepherd and a 7 year old French Bulldog bitch. We also have a young child.
Gus is a family pet and is very well socialised with other dogs and loves attention from people. He is intelligent; boisterous (as all teenagers are); affectionate and friendly. He loves playing and loves walking.
He is an indoor dog, meaning he is always well groomed and maintained to look his best. He is fully up to date with his worm doses and injections and boosters also.
Gus’ blue colour comes from his rare Dd gene which he inherited from his two fully black parents who both carried the gene - Gus also carries this gene. The last litter that he studed produced 3x blue pups (6 Black and Tan / 3 black).
He is a proven stud of quite large litters - again, the last litter consisting of 12 pups!
Anybody who is interested in Gus, contact me on here or via my phone on 0851264402. Any potential coverings would be required to be done in our large back garden where Gus is a lot more comfortable - this will help him perform better.
Feel free to ask us any questions that you may have!
Thanks,
Devon
Tips for contacting breeders
- Keep communication through our messaging system for as long as possible.
- Choose carefully what information you share about yourself.
- Ask for recent health check certificate from their vet, this should check for known issues with the breed & have details of vaccinations. The AKC has a comprehensive list of their health testing requirements per breed.
- Ask breeders about the vet who has taken care of the dog and contact the vet directly.
- Ask breeders to provide their ID (driver's licence / passport) and take note of their contact details.
- If you are new to breeding, please, please, read this article about breeding dogs.
- Stud dogs listed need to be 12 months or older. While bigger breeds may mature faster, often health complications don't show until later.
- Report suspicious activity to your local Garda Station & / or the Department of Agriculture, Food & Marine.
- Use our contract template www.dogs.ie/contract or another as a basis for a written contract.
