Milo the male German Shorthaired Pointer dog in Kildare

We are pleased to offer a charming German Shorthaired Pointer dog for sale. This handsome male, with a striking brown and white coat, is located in Naas and has been well-cared for, being both vaccinated and wormed. At nearly three years of age, he is brimming with energy and affection, making him an ideal companion for active families or individuals who enjoy outdoor activities. The German Shorthaired Pointer is renowned for its intelligence and versatility, often excelling in both fieldwork and as a loving family pet. They are known for their affectionate nature, forming close bonds with their owners and thriving on human interaction. Additionally, this breed is highly trainable, making them suitable for various canine sports or as a loyal and obedient household member. Video : https://vimeo.com/1055136590/518df6d8bb Milo is truly an incredible dog—so smart and a total cuddle bug! He loves to snuggle right up on us whenever he can and often tries to sneak into bed when he gets chilly. He has such a wonderful bond with our son(who was 8 months when we got Milo); they play rugby almost every evening, tackling each other and stealing the ball back and forth. Milo is gentle and patient, letting our son hug him and lie on him, and he stays calm even when his ears or tail are tugged at (though we definitely don’t encourage that!). Both Milo and our son thrive outdoors, bringing joy and energy to every adventure together—like two happy brothers! He also enjoys sniffing around during his adventures, but he never runs off out of sight and comes back easily with just a whistle. He thrives on high-intensity exercise, needing about 30-40 minutes of running at full speed every day. While long walks are nice, they don’t always give him the workout he craves. After his burst of activity, he turns into a lazy sloth, spending most of the day sleeping. He absolutely loves sticks, rubber balls, and catching larger balls in the air. He’s a quick learner, too! Our son can easily get him to sit, give his paws, and lie down for a treat. Milo socialises well with other dogs and goes to daycare twice a week, where he gets to romp around and have fun! Doing well with all dogs and breeds. He even lets the little one nibble on him without paying attention to them. Having grown up with a cat during his first year, he’s always curious and excited to see them, thinking all cats want to play with him. However, after moving to Ireland in 2023, Milo experienced a few months of separation anxiety in mid-2024 when my wife started working. During this time, he learned to jump the back gate and recommend that his new home would not have low fence. We simply sloped the footholds, and since then, he hasn’t been able to escape. Thankfully, when he did manage to get over, he never ran away; he simply looked for us at the front door and waited patiently for us to arrive home. The anxiety and fence jumping is now something of the past. He’s also not the biggest fan of the postman or delivery people putting noise when the mail through the letterbox, but once we open the door for him to meet them, he transforms into the biggest cuddle bug and wraps himself around them! Unfortunately, due to our relocation abroad and the new country's strict regulations, we won't be able to take him with us and therefore looking for a new energetic family for him.

Gigi the female Cockapoo dog, Temporary Stay

Dublin Cockapoo Age: 4 years 1 Female
TEMPORARY STAY REQUIRED This is Gigi a 4 and a half year old femlale Cockapoo. She is unbelievably friendly and a perfect companion. My partner and I moved to Spain for a year and Gigi stayed with her dog minder who loved her. Gigi has been there since August and is starting to show signs of stress due to there being around too many dogs all the time. She has never caused an issue or been aggressive ever. However in the last 2 weeks she has started to become competitive with dogs over her new owner (the dog minder). We feel it would be best for Gigi to find a temporary home until August 2025 when we return to Dublin. Gigi is available to go to a fitting family on any date up to around Easter time. The perfect family for her would have lots of time to spend with her as she is a peoples person and needs plenty of attention.

Two small Terrier X Dogs for Rehoming in Dublin

Dublin Terrier Age: 5 years 1 Male, 1 Female
Unfortunately due to change in circumstances, we have no choice but to rehome our lovely Terrier X dogs. Located in Dublin, these small size Terriers are from the same litter and have been together since birth. They are male and female and are both neutered. Both dogs have different personalities, Harley (the female dog) is an affectionate, sweet dog and social butterfly who loves attention and lots of belly rubs! She is very outgoing and loves playing fetch. Jameson, her male brother, is affectionate too but can take a few minutes to warm to people calling to the house as he likes to make a good watch dog. Once he meets people, he also enjoys attention and playing. Both dogs love their walks and need an individual or family with the time to bring them out at least once a day for around 40 minutes. We would ideally like Harley and Jameson to be rehomed together, but will consider separate homes if they are to go to the right person/family. Jameson does not like other dogs so there cannot be any other dogs at his new home. Due to my mother’s declining health who lives with us, we do not have the time to give Harley and Jameson the love they need. We are seeking active dog lovers /walkers with lots of time and attention to give them. It will break our hearts to see them go but we know it is the right decision for them. Both dogs are fully vaccinated and healthy.

Sasha the female Border Collie x Terrier dog in Dublin

Dublin Terrier, Border Collie Age: 3 years 1 Female
Due to change in circumstance we will have to rehome our lovely, nearly 4 year old female Border Collie x Terrier dog named Sasha. She is perfect fit for an active adult household. She loves to catch the ball. She is a great swimmer too. Once she gets her exercise she is a perfect cuddle company on the sofa. She would be the happiest somewhere outside of the city but if you have a green area close to home where she can run off the leash that is perfect too. She is amazing on recall. She can't live with another dog and I would not recommend a house with children under 10 years old. Feel free to contact me about Sasha.
