Rhodesian Ridgebacks are a large, muscular breed of dog that was originally bred in Rhodesia (now Zimbabwe). They are known for their unique ridge of hair running down their back, which is the result of a genetic mutation. Ridgebacks are loyal, protective, and intelligent dogs that make great family pets. They are also relatively easy to train and are good with children. However, they can be stubborn and require a lot of exercise. Rhodesian Ridgebacks are on the restricted dogs list.
