Newfoundland X puppies in Leitrim
Details
Description
Introducing the 2nd Litter from our dogs Luath & Ciúnas. Mother is half Newfoundland-half Bernese & father is an IKC registered Newfoundland.
Mother (Luath) is an exceptional dog - affectionate, loyal, protective but most of all intelligent, which is the reason why we breed from her. Dad (Ciúnas) is a gentle giant and a fine example of the breed but he is also clever and eager to please.
These dogs live on a farm so enjoy active outdoor lives and have been socialised with livestock, poultry and people particularly children.
They are always-alert watch dogs that are driven by their dedicated loyalty to their owners to protect them, but then they are affectionate to all formally introduced strangers!
The litter consists of 4 black & white Landseer females, 2 mostly black females, 1 beautiful brown female (all €650) and then the pick of the litter - 1 brave brown boy, selling @ €750.
We also have a female from the previous litter, and she can be seen in the last photos, so you can see how these puppies will turn out!

Tips for purchasing a puppy
- Ask sellers to provide an ID (driver's licence / passport) and take note of their contact details. You will also need to provide the same & a proof of address to transfer the microchip to your name.
- Note microchip IDs posted here (981098109302719, 981098109299008, 981098109302395, 981098109302456, 981098109302352, 981098109302460, 981098109302383, 981098109302397) and check the microchip certificates (important) when you visit to make sure they match and the sellers details are on the certificate too (see example microchip certificates).
- Do not purchase a dog without seeing a microchip certificate. It is illegal to sell a dog without a microchip that's fully registered (info).
- See puppies in their home environment and see the mother of puppies.
- Make sure the puppy is 8 weeks before taking ownership of the dog (closer to 10-12 weeks is even better).
- Do not pay a deposit until you've met the owner & puppy in person.
- Do not purchase a dog from a seller in a car park or other business location.
- Ask sellers about the vet who has taken care of the dogs. Ask for the dog's vaccination certificate(s).
- Use our contract template www.dogs.ie/contract or another as a basis for a written contract & ask for a written receipt.
- It's best not to bring young kids to first meetings, to avoid disappointment in the case you decide not to buy a dog.
- This seller is a Registered Seller of Pets, ask to see their Registered Sellers ID from the Department of Agriculture.
