IKC Registered (pending) Pedigree Labrador puppies in Mayo

We are pleased to share our super litter of IKC registered (PENDING) Pedigree Labrador Retriever puppies. We own and work both parents.

• Mum - Cracker, Kennel Club registered name Ambercloud Blitzen  (Yellow)

• Dad -Whisper, Kennel Club registered name Fielddale Barathea at Ambercloud (Black)

Both are exceptionally clever dogs and have natures that are very loyal to their family and are extremely eager to please.   They both regularly take part in the Dog Sport of Mantrailing (Searching & trailing lost people by scent) which they excel at. Mum and Dad have been fully DNA health tested and are clear for all the following hereditary diseases which can often be found in the breed; therefore, puppies will be genetically clear and will not inherit any of these diseases. 

• Centronuclear Myopathy (CNM)

• Progressive retinal atrophy (prcd-PRA)

• Dwarfism/Skeletal dysplasia 2 (SD2)

• Stargardt disease (STGD)

• Exercise induced collapse (EIC)

• Hereditary nasal parakeratosis (HNPK)

• Macular Corneal Dystrophy (MCD)

Both have 0:0 elbow scores and Hip scores of 4:5 & 6:3.

This is the second litter from this great partnership and the offspring from their first litter ared fabulous. Some are in active family pet homes and others working as gundogs and scent detection dogs. 

We have 3 black and 4 yellow puppies in this litter, males and females available.  They have been raised in our busy family home and used to all general household noises, teenagers, other dogs and cats.  They have been wormed regularly from 2 weeks of age and are weaned onto a top quality raw diet and are thriving. 

They have been toilet trained and providing the back door is open they will take themselves outside and are clean in the house, so you have a great base to carry on their training.

Puppies have now been vet checked, microchipped and given their first vaccinations.

We pit everything into raising our dogs and puppies and take great pride in producing them to the very best standard we can and ask for the best homes for them too.  We will ask you questions about your home, family and how you will care for a  new puppy, please don’t be offended if we say you are not the right fit. We aim to find the right homes the first time and not have any of our puppies looking to be rehomed in the future.  We do send our puppies off with a lifetime support promise and a contract of sale which states they must be given back to us in the event of anyone being unable to keep them.They will leave us with:

• Sample supply of their current food

• Vaccination card

• Contract of sale & advice sheet

• Puppy blanket with Mum’s scent on

• Kennel Club registration certificate will be forwarded upon receipt

1. Ask sellers to provide an ID (driver's licence / passport) and take note of their contact details. You will also need to provide the same & a proof of address to transfer the microchip to your name.
2. Note microchip IDs posted here (981098109357653, 981098109357650, 981098109360749, 981098109360729, 981098109357707, 981098109360740, 981098109360725) and check the microchip certificates (important) when you visit to make sure they match and the sellers details are on the certificate too (see example microchip certificates).
3. Do not purchase a dog without seeing a microchip certificate. It is illegal to sell a dog without a microchip that's fully registered (info).
4. See puppies in their home environment and see the mother of puppies.
5. Make sure the puppy is 8 weeks before taking ownership of the dog (closer to 10-12 weeks is even better).
6. Do not pay a deposit until you've met the owner & puppy in person.
7. Do not purchase a dog from a seller in a car park or other business location.
8. Ask sellers about the vet who has taken care of the dogs. Ask for the dog's vaccination certificate(s).
9. Use our contract template www.dogs.ie/contract or another as a basis for a written contract & ask for a written receipt.
10. It's best not to bring young kids to first meetings, to avoid disappointment in the case you decide not to buy a dog.
