Friendly IKC Registered 5 year old female Labrador in Dublin is looking for a Loving Family Home

We are looking for a loving new home for our IKC registered 5 year old female Labrador, born in 2021. She has been part of our family since birth and has grown up in a warm, caring household.

She has a wonderful temperament and is incredibly friendly, especially with children. We've had two babies while she's been with us, and she has always been gentle, patient, and affectionate around them.

She is full of energy and absolutely loves to play. Balls and frisbees are her favourite things in the world. If she spots a ball, she'll be determined to chase it! She has good recall and will come back when called, but her first instinct is always to go after the ball.

She enjoys long walks and would love an active family. On the lead she can pull if the pace is slow, so she'd suit someone who enjoys brisk walks or is happy to continue a bit of leash training.

This has been an incredibly difficult decision for us. We actually posted this ad once before but took it down because our children found it very upsetting. After taking some time to talk it through as a family, we've come to accept that finding her the right forever home is the best decision for her.

The reason we're rehoming her is that our family has grown, and we're planning to move back to our home country, where the climate wouldn't be suitable for her. She deserves a home where she'll have plenty of space, attention and opportunities to run, play and enjoy life.

Our only small request is that, if you're comfortable with it, we'd love the opportunity to visit her occasionally or receive the odd photo or update. We completely understand that this wouldn't always be possible, but it would mean the world to us to know she's happy and doing well.

We're in no rush. Finding the right home is far more important than finding one quickly. We'd love for her to go to a family who will treat her as one of their own.

1. Ask sellers to provide an ID (driver's licence / passport) and take note of their contact details. You will also need to provide the same & a proof of address to transfer the microchip to your name.
2. Note microchip IDs posted here (972274200231050) and check the microchip certificates (important) when you visit to make sure they match and the sellers details are on the certificate too (see example microchip certificates).
3. Do not purchase a dog without seeing a microchip certificate. It is illegal to sell a dog without a microchip that's fully registered (info).
4. Do not purchase a dog from a seller in a car park or other business location.
5. Ask sellers about the vet who has taken care of the dogs. Ask for the dog's vaccination certificate(s).
6. Use our contract template www.dogs.ie/contract or another as a basis for a written contract & ask for a written receipt.
7. It's best not to bring young kids to first meetings, to avoid disappointment in the case you decide not to buy a dog.
