1-Year-Old Male Labradoodle for Rehoming – Westmeath

Lovely 1 year-old male Labradoodle, Patch, available for rehoming in Westmeath.

My mother bought him when he was a pup not knowing much about the breed and unfortunately he is too active for her. He would benefit from a home where he can get the time, exercise and attention he needs.

He has really good temperament, very intelligent, house-trained and currently being crate trained. He is vaccinated, microchipped and wormed.

Patch is very active and would suit an active family or someone who enjoys walking, running and/or time outdoors. He loves the water and gets on well with other dogs. We think a home with older children would be best given his energy levels, and an enclosed garden or supervision outdoors is recommended until his training is further established.

1. Ask sellers to provide an ID (driver's licence / passport) and take note of their contact details. You will also need to provide the same & a proof of address to transfer the microchip to your name.
2. Note microchip IDs posted here (972274200622840) and check the microchip certificates (important) when you visit to make sure they match and the sellers details are on the certificate too (see example microchip certificates).
3. Do not purchase a dog without seeing a microchip certificate. It is illegal to sell a dog without a microchip that's fully registered (info).
4. Do not purchase a dog from a seller in a car park or other business location.
5. Ask sellers about the vet who has taken care of the dogs. Ask for the dog's vaccination certificate(s).
6. Use our contract template www.dogs.ie/contract or another as a basis for a written contract & ask for a written receipt.
7. It's best not to bring young kids to first meetings, to avoid disappointment in the case you decide not to buy a dog.
