11 month old Irish Red Setter

We are broken hearted to be offering our beautiful Irish Setter puppy for sale due to relocation. This male puppy, with his striking red and white coat, is just under a year old and embodies the classic characteristics of the breed. Irish Setters are renowned for their affectionate nature, making them excellent companions for families and children. This particular puppy is fully house-trained and also trained on the lead, ensuring a smooth transition to his new home. He is a very intelligent dog, responsive to training, and thrives on interaction and companionship. All the hard work has been done already so now it’s time for someone to enjoy him.

Our puppy has been extremely well cared for, is vaccinated and wormed, and we're seeking a loving home where he will continue to be cherished and well looked after. Located in Limerick, we hope to find the perfect match for our loyal and gentle friend.

1. Ask sellers to provide an ID (driver's licence / passport) and take note of their contact details. You will also need to provide the same & a proof of address to transfer the microchip to your name.
2. Note microchip IDs posted here (991003002462559) and check the microchip certificates (important) when you visit to make sure they match and the sellers details are on the certificate too (see example microchip certificates).
3. Do not purchase a dog without seeing a microchip certificate. It is illegal to sell a dog without a microchip that's fully registered (info).
4. Do not purchase a dog from a seller in a car park or other business location.
5. Consider buying a puppy starter pack of essential items .
6. Ask sellers about the vet who has taken care of the dogs. Ask for the dog's vaccination certificate(s).
7. Use our contract template www.dogs.ie/contract or another as a basis for a written contract & ask for a written receipt.
8. It's best not to bring young kids to first meetings, to avoid disappointment in the case you decide not to buy a dog.
9. This seller is a Registered Seller of Pets, ask to see their Registered Sellers ID from the Department of Agriculture.
