Hi everyone! Ny name is buddy, I am a 1 year old male Golden Retriever puppy and I'm looking for my forever home.

I’m a fun-loving, lively boy with a big personality and lots of energy. I love going for walks, exploring, playing and being involved in everything my humans are doing.

Due to a change in family circumstances, my family can no longer give me all the time, attention and exercise I need. They love me very much and want to find me a home where I can truly thrive.

I would be happiest with an active owner or family who can keep up with my enthusiastic lifestyle. I’d love to play in a big garden, I need lots of walks, playtime and attention.

I know I’m no longer a tiny puppy and this may turn people away from choosing me but please see my biggest strengths below:

1. Ask sellers to provide an ID (driver's licence / passport) and take note of their contact details. You will also need to provide the same & a proof of address to transfer the microchip to your name.
2. Note microchip IDs posted here (981098109301496) and check the microchip certificates (important) when you visit to make sure they match and the sellers details are on the certificate too (see example microchip certificates).
3. Do not purchase a dog without seeing a microchip certificate. It is illegal to sell a dog without a microchip that's fully registered (info).
4. Do not purchase a dog from a seller in a car park or other business location.
5. Ask sellers about the vet who has taken care of the dogs. Ask for the dog's vaccination certificate(s).
6. Use our contract template www.dogs.ie/contract or another as a basis for a written contract & ask for a written receipt.
7. It's best not to bring young kids to first meetings, to avoid disappointment in the case you decide not to buy a dog.
