NB. Both Sire and Dam have had extensive health tests. They have excellent hip and elbow scores. It is vital to new puppy owners to have both parents hip and elbow scored. Hip and Elbow scoring are diagnostic radiographic procedures used to screen dogs for joint dysplasia, signs of primary lesions and osteoarthritis. Both my Sire and Dam have excellent scores which minimises the risk of hereditary joint disease. This also proves the excellent breeding suitability of both Sire and Dam.

Dam: Alya from Graigue – A beautiful Slovakia/Czech working line, short coat, straight back German Shepherd from proven police bloodlines. Alya has excellent structure, strong nerves, and the courage and intelligence that define true working line German Shepherd.

Heritage: From proven Czech/Slovak working lines known for courage, focus, and loyalty.

Extended Pedigrees: Both parents come from generations of tested, accomplished world class German Shepherds. Full pedigree records of 4 generations are available to serious buyers.

1. Ask sellers to provide an ID (driver's licence / passport) and take note of their contact details. You will also need to provide the same & a proof of address to transfer the microchip to your name.
2. Note microchip IDs posted here (981098109357406, 981098109357473, 981098109357504, 981098109357497, 981098109357492, 981098109357537, 981098109357511, 981098109357462, 981098109357454, 981098109357390) and check the microchip certificates (important) when you visit to make sure they match and the sellers details are on the certificate too (see example microchip certificates).
3. Do not purchase a dog without seeing a microchip certificate. It is illegal to sell a dog without a microchip that's fully registered (info).
4. See puppies in their home environment and see the mother of puppies.
5. Make sure the puppy is 8 weeks before taking ownership of the dog (closer to 10-12 weeks is even better).
6. Do not pay a deposit until you've met the owner & puppy in person.
7. Do not purchase a dog from a seller in a car park or other business location.
8. Ask sellers about the vet who has taken care of the dogs. Ask for the dog's vaccination certificate(s).
9. Use our contract template www.dogs.ie/contract or another as a basis for a written contract & ask for a written receipt.
10. It's best not to bring young kids to first meetings, to avoid disappointment in the case you decide not to buy a dog.
