The French Bulldog is a small breed of domestic dog. "Frenchies" were the result of a cross between Toy Bulldogs imported from England and local ratters in Paris during the 1800s. They were popularised in France by actress Sarah Bernhardt, who kept one as a pet. French Bulldogs are muscular, heavy boned dogs that are shorter and stockier than their English Bulldog cousins. They have a long, soft coat that can be either brindle, fawn, or white. Other colours are more rare. Frenchies are not big on barking, but are very alert dogs. They do not require a lot of exercise.

Augustus the male French Bulldog puppy, 1 year old

Carlow French Bulldog Age: 1 year 1 Male

Augustus is looking for a new home. He is a handsome male French Bulldog puppy, 1 year old and is neutered. I own his mother and I sold him when he was a puppy and he was returned to me due to no fault of his own but due to the owner for personal reasons. Augustus is extremely affectionate and clever. He has been neutered since late October and that has helped a good bit with his behavioural issues. He would best suit a male owner, he wouldn’t suit someone who has small kids (due to the fact he hasn’t been around them his whole life and I don’t have kids to train him to be around them) or someone who has more than one dog. Ideally if you have a dog already it would be better to have him in with a female dog. He likes to be dominant. Ideally the new owner would have to have time to continue to do behavioural work with him every day. I have no doubt that he won't succeed. Just unfortunately with my lifestyle he doesn’t suit my home. I absolutely adore Augustus but I want what’s best for him and would like to keep in touch with his new owner. Please message me with any questions ♥️🙏🏻 the one thing I ask for his new owner is that he keeps his name as he responds to it, and it’s hard for Frenchies to learn different names as they tend to be stubborn dogs.
