The Caucasian Shepherd Dog is a large, powerful dog breed that was originally bred in the Caucasus Mountains. These dogs were bred for their strength, size, and ability to protect their flock from predators. Today, the Caucasian Shepherd Dog is still used as a working dog in many parts of the world, but they also make excellent family pets. They are loyal, protective, and loving dogs that will bond closely with their family. However, they can also be very independent and stubborn, so training can be more of a challenge!

Central Asian Shepherd looking for new home

Galway Caucasian Shepherd Dog Age: 2 years 1 Male
We're looking to find a new home for our beautiful family friendly 2,5 year old Central Asian Shepherd. Prospective new owners should carefully research the breed before thinking of getting in touch. New owner must have previous experience with similar extra large breeds. The dog requires an enclosed compound and will bark loudly when strangers approach. He requires very little exercise and is generally happy checking his boundaries. He is very protective of his own family, including children, elderly and other pets. He is an excellent guard dog. However, he has a strong need to dominate other dogs and can be unpredictable with strangers. He is physically very strong and would need a firm hand and possibly more training. He is highly intelligent and could also possibly be trained as a live stock guardian. This is his natural role. We are more than heart broken for having to let him go.
