Quality Purebred Border Collie puppies in Longford

We have a beautiful litter of classic black and white Border Collie puppies ready for their new homes.

At 8 weeks old they are highly intelligent, alert and showing fantastic potential. Due to their excellent breeding they are perfectly suited to become either keen working dogs or loyal active family pets.

Both Mammy and Daddy are long haired purebred Border Collies with wonderful temperaments. The puppies are expected to develop beautiful thick long haired coats like their parents. While Mammy is available to view, Daddy lives in Mayo and is a working sheep dog. Both sets of grandparents are Border Collies too, thus ensuring strong tradition and smart bloodlines.

Border Collies are incredibly smart and energetic. They will thrive in a working environment or family home with active lifestyle, a large secure garden and plenty of mental stimulation. Mammy is very loving and now lives with 3 other rescued neutered bitches. The puppies have be socialised not only with the other dogs but also with cats, hens and ducks.

Puppies are:

Microchipped: They are microchipped, fully registered and official certificates provided for legal transfer.

Vaccinated: First essential vaccination completed with official vet card.

Wormed: Regularly treated on a strict schedule since 2 weeks old.

Vet checked: Thoroughly examined by our vet and in perfect health.

1. Ask sellers to provide an ID (driver's licence / passport) and take note of their contact details. You will also need to provide the same & a proof of address to transfer the microchip to your name.
2. Note microchip IDs posted here (981098109360063, 981098109360055, 981098109360192, 981098109360059, 981098109359674) and check the microchip certificates (important) when you visit to make sure they match and the sellers details are on the certificate too (see example microchip certificates).
3. Do not purchase a dog without seeing a microchip certificate. It is illegal to sell a dog without a microchip that's fully registered (info).
4. See puppies in their home environment and see the mother of puppies.
5. Make sure the puppy is 8 weeks before taking ownership of the dog (closer to 10-12 weeks is even better).
6. Do not pay a deposit until you've met the owner & puppy in person.
7. Do not purchase a dog from a seller in a car park or other business location.
8. Ask sellers about the vet who has taken care of the dogs. Ask for the dog's vaccination certificate(s).
9. Use our contract template www.dogs.ie/contract or another as a basis for a written contract & ask for a written receipt.
10. It's best not to bring young kids to first meetings, to avoid disappointment in the case you decide not to buy a dog.
