Meet Oakley, an affectionate 8-month-old female Border Collie x Labrador puppy located in Clonmel. Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, her original owner could no longer keep her. We took her in to help, but our own dog has not taken well to having another dog around, leaving Oakley stressed and in need of a new forever home.

Oakley is vaccinated, microchipped and wormed, ensuring she is in good health. She has shown to be wonderful around small children, as her previous owner had two toddlers, and she interacts well with other dogs. Border Collie and Labrador mix are known for their intelligence and energy, requiring mental and physical stimulation. They tend to form strong bonds with their family members, making Oakley an ideal companion for an active household willing to give her the love and attention she deserves. 1. Ask sellers to provide an ID (driver's licence / passport) and take note of their contact details. You will also need to provide the same & a proof of address to transfer the microchip to your name.
2. Note microchip IDs posted here (981098109123013) and check the microchip certificates (important) when you visit to make sure they match and the sellers details are on the certificate too (see example microchip certificates).
3. Do not purchase a dog without seeing a microchip certificate. It is illegal to sell a dog without a microchip that's fully registered (info).
4. Do not purchase a dog from a seller in a car park or other business location.
5. Consider buying a puppy starter pack of essential items .
6. Ask sellers about the vet who has taken care of the dogs. Ask for the dog's vaccination certificate(s).
7. Use our contract template www.dogs.ie/contract or another as a basis for a written contract & ask for a written receipt.
8. It's best not to bring young kids to first meetings, to avoid disappointment in the case you decide not to buy a dog.
