Border Collie × Borador puppies in Sligo – Well-bred, Intelligent and Family-raised 🐾
Details
Description
We have four lovely female Border Collie × Borador puppies ready to go to their new homes now. Their mother, Zuki, is a Borador (Border Collie × Labrador), and their father, Toby, is a purebred working Border Collie from a sheep farm. This makes the puppies ¾ Border Collie and ¼ Labrador — giving them a great balance of intelligence, trainability, and calm temperament.
Zuki is a smart, steady companion who responds to both voice and hand signals. She follows commands like sit, stay, bark, search, and dig, and walks calmly off-lead using subtle cues like a finger click and an open palm. She’s been raised in a mixed environment — from farmland to surfing, from kayaking to accompanying me on the quad she adapts easily to new settings.
Toby is a purebred working Border Collie from a sheep farm, with strong herding instinct and excellent distance control. He is steady, focused, and comes from a well-proven line of working dogs. Reliable and easy to handle, Toby brings solid working ability and calm temperament to the litter
The puppies have been raised in a family home with young children and other dogs, both large and small, so they’re already well-socialised and used to different noises, handling, and activity levels. They’re confident, curious, and showing all the signs of becoming intelligent, loyal companions — ideal for active homes, farms, or families looking for a smart and trainable dog.
They’re eating solid food, growing well, and are ready to go now to the right homes.
Who These Puppies Will Suit:
These puppies will thrive in homes where they’ll be included in daily life — whether that’s walks, play, training, or just being part of the family routine. They’re a perfect match for people who enjoy the outdoors, have a bit of space to let a dog be a dog, and want a companion that’s easy to train and eager to learn. Whether you’re on a farm, living in the countryside, or have an active family home. These puppies will fit in well. They’re also ideal for anyone looking for a sharp-minded, loyal dog that can settle down just as well as it can keep up.

Tips for purchasing a puppy
- Ask sellers to provide an ID (driver's licence / passport) and take note of their contact details. You will also need to provide the same & a proof of address to transfer the microchip to your name.
- Note microchip IDs posted here (972274200584781, 972274200584607, 972274200535483, 972274200584623) and check the microchip certificates (important) when you visit to make sure they match and the sellers details are on the certificate too (see example microchip certificates).
- Do not purchase a dog without seeing a microchip certificate. It is illegal to sell a dog without a microchip that's fully registered (info).
- See puppies in their home environment and see the mother of puppies.
- Make sure the puppy is 8 weeks before taking ownership of the dog (closer to 10-12 weeks is even better).
- Do not pay a deposit until you've met the owner & puppy in person.
- Do not purchase a dog from a seller in a car park or other business location.
- Ask sellers about the vet who has taken care of the dogs. Ask for the dog's vaccination certificate(s).
- Use our contract template www.dogs.ie/contract or another as a basis for a written contract & ask for a written receipt.
- It's best not to bring young kids to first meetings, to avoid disappointment in the case you decide not to buy a dog.
