### Ozzy Needs a Loving New Home 🐾
Unfortunately, we have made the very difficult decision to rehome our beautiful male Bernese Mountain Dog, Ozzy, who turned three the end of March.
Ozzy is a very big, strong and protective boy. He is dominant and territorial, and despite trying our best, he does not get always along with one of our older dogs. We now have to keep them mostly separated, and we feel that the best thing for Ozzy is to find a home where he can be settled and happy.
Ozzy can also be reactive on walks if other dogs approach him, so we are looking for a dog-free, child-free home where he can have the attention, space and understanding he deserves. Because of his size and strength, we would not consider a home with children.
He is not a big barker and generally only barks when a stranger enters our property. He is extremely protective of his home and his people, and he absolutely loves going for walks.
This is an incredibly difficult decision for us, and Ozzy will only go to the right home. We are looking for someone experienced, responsible and committed to giving him a loving, secure home for the rest of his life.
Please only get in touch if you can offer Ozzy a dog-free, child-free home and are genuinely able to meet the needs of a large, strong and sometimes reactive dog.
We want nothing more than for Ozzy to find the wonderful home he deserves. ❤️

- We recommend you print or save a copy of this page for your records in case the ad is updated / closed.
Tips for purchasing a dog
- Ask sellers to provide an ID (driver's licence / passport) and take note of their contact details. You will also need to provide the same & a proof of address to transfer the microchip to your name.
- Note microchip IDs posted here (972274200446086) and check the microchip certificates (important) when you visit to make sure they match and the sellers details are on the certificate too (see example microchip certificates).
- Do not purchase a dog without seeing a microchip certificate. It is illegal to sell a dog without a microchip that's fully registered (info).
- Do not purchase a dog from a seller in a car park or other business location.
- Ask sellers about the vet who has taken care of the dogs. Ask for the dog's vaccination certificate(s).
- Use our contract template www.dogs.ie/contract or another as a basis for a written contract & ask for a written receipt.
- It's best not to bring young kids to first meetings, to avoid disappointment in the case you decide not to buy a dog.
