Jason is a dog who came back to us after a change in circumstances with his previous owners. Through no fault of his own or the owners.

Jason is a good dog who has some training particularly in nose work. He does need work on lead.

He has lived with cats, dogs, and animals since he was 19 weeks old. He has been in a home with young people but not children.

Jason does have a strong guarding instinct which can be kept easily managed by somebody familiar with training and the breed.

His mother, brother, and sister are available to view also. Mother and father were both hip and elbow scored and DNA tested. Father acquired IGP 3 in his lifetime.

His ideal home would be more quiet. Definitely not for a housing estate. Decent boundaries but he isn't too inclined to challenge a fence.

Great ball drive and food drive. Insane tug drive. He did arrive quite slim and has been trying to build weight since. Passported also.

1. Ask sellers to provide an ID (driver's licence / passport) and take note of their contact details. You will also need to provide the same & a proof of address to transfer the microchip to your name.
2. Note microchip IDs posted here (972274000402559) and check the microchip certificates (important) when you visit to make sure they match and the sellers details are on the certificate too (see example microchip certificates).
3. Do not purchase a dog without seeing a microchip certificate. It is illegal to sell a dog without a microchip that's fully registered (info).
4. Do not purchase a dog from a seller in a car park or other business location.
5. Consider buying a puppy starter pack of essential items .
6. Ask sellers about the vet who has taken care of the dogs. Ask for the dog's vaccination certificate(s).
7. Use our contract template www.dogs.ie/contract or another as a basis for a written contract & ask for a written receipt.
8. It's best not to bring young kids to first meetings, to avoid disappointment in the case you decide not to buy a dog.
