Lady the female IKC Registered Lemon and White Beagle dog

After careful consideration, we have made the difficult decision to rehome our dog, Lady is our lemon and white Beagle. She is seven years old and is IKC registered. She is good with children, other dogs, cats and foul.

She is fully vaccinated, wormed and microchipped . She has not been spayed and has not had puppies.

She is energetic, independent, smart and loving. She thrives off companionship and exercise. She will make a loyal and affectionate addition to any family.

Due to recent changes in my schedule and responsibilities, I am no longer able to provide the level of care and attention that she requires, so for this reason I am hoping to find a loving home with an enclosed area where she can use up her energy.

2. Choose carefully what information you share about yourself in your messages. Do share info if you have a garden, young kids, or other suitable information to help the seller know you are a suitable buyer.

1. Ask sellers to provide an ID (driver's licence / passport) and take note of their contact details. You will also need to provide the same & a proof of address to transfer the microchip to your name.
2. Note microchip IDs posted here (972274001016163) and check the microchip certificates (important) when you visit to make sure they match and the sellers details are on the certificate too (see example microchip certificates).
3. Do not purchase a dog without seeing a microchip certificate. It is illegal to sell a dog without a microchip that's fully registered (info).
4. Do not purchase a dog from a seller in a car park or other business location.
5. Consider buying a puppy starter pack of essential items .
6. Ask sellers about the vet who has taken care of the dogs. Ask for the dog's vaccination certificate(s).
7. Use our contract template www.dogs.ie/contract or another as a basis for a written contract & ask for a written receipt.
8. It's best not to bring young kids to first meetings, to avoid disappointment in the case you decide not to buy a dog.
