Luna the female Beagle, 3 years old

Luna is a three year old female Beagle who is very active. Very energetic and requires daily exercise. Good with children and other dogs but can be bossy sometimes when playing. As with most Beagles she is an escape artist so a fully enclosed space is a must. Walks good on the lead. House trained. Very playful and a great companion. Not used for hunting. Reluctant sale. Change in work circumstances force her rehoming. Five star home only. No Private numbers. Text-email anytime or call after 5pm

1. Ask sellers to provide an ID (driver's licence / passport) and take note of their contact details. You will also need to provide the same & a proof of address to transfer the microchip to your name.
2. Note microchip IDs posted here (972274200023661) and check the microchip certificates (important) when you visit to make sure they match and the sellers details are on the certificate too (see example microchip certificates).
3. Do not purchase a dog without seeing a microchip certificate. It is illegal to sell a dog without a microchip that's fully registered (info).
4. Do not purchase a dog from a seller in a car park or other business location.
5. Consider buying a puppy starter pack of essential items .
6. Ask sellers about the vet who has taken care of the dogs. Ask for the dog's vaccination certificate(s).
7. Use our contract template www.dogs.ie/contract or another as a basis for a written contract & ask for a written receipt.
8. It's best not to bring young kids to first meetings, to avoid disappointment in the case you decide not to buy a dog.
