Puppies names, Storm and Reggie. We are thrilled to announce an exceptional litter of American Akita puppies, born on the 18th of January, 2024, now ready to find their forever homes. These puppies, located in the heart of Galway, exhibit the independent spirit Akitas are renowned for, making them perfect companions for those who appreciate a dog with a mind of its own.

Our litter includes a diverse array of colours, with females and males available in striking tricolour (brown, black, and white) as well as classic black and white, and an adorable male in brown and white. Each puppy has been lovingly raised, ensuring they are well-socialised and ready to become a loyal member of your family.

Our puppies have had the best start in life weighing in at approx 16.5kg

Fully vaccinated and wormed regular, they have been vet checked and all puppies have clean bill of health. They are thriving on three meals a day. Mother and father can both be seen here. Mother is not ikc registered.

father is import from the UK is Registered with UK Kennel Club and Irish Kennel Club. He comes from a champion bloodline from Russia and the USA.

1. Ask sellers to provide an ID (driver's licence / passport) and take note of their contact details. You will also need to provide the same & a proof of address to transfer the microchip to your name.
2. Note microchip IDs posted here (987000010037028, 987000010037038, 987000010037027, 987000010037039, 987000010037030, 987000010037031, 987000010037032, 987000010037035, 987000010037034, 987000010037037) and check the microchip certificates (important) when you visit to make sure they match and the sellers details are on the certificate too (see example microchip certificates).
3. Do not purchase a dog without seeing a microchip certificate. It is illegal to sell a dog without a microchip that's fully registered (info).
4. See puppies in their home environment and see the mother of puppies.
5. Make sure the puppy is 8 weeks before taking ownership of the dog (closer to 10-12 weeks is even better).
6. Do not pay a deposit until you've met the owner & puppy in person.
7. Do not purchase a dog from a seller in a car park or other business location.
8. Consider buying a puppy starter pack of essential items .
9. Ask sellers about the vet who has taken care of the dogs. Ask for the dog's vaccination certificate(s).
10. Use our contract template www.dogs.ie/contract or another as a basis for a written contract & ask for a written receipt.
11. It's best not to bring young kids to first meetings, to avoid disappointment in the case you decide not to buy a dog.
