Akitas in Galway
Details
Description
Two Akita available: a male white and black and a female red/white, both affectionate in temperament. They were born on 2023-08-23 so they are 2 years and 9 months old; they have been vaccinated and wormed. Located in Co.Galway. Living in the country with goats and fowl. The male is called Goliath and the female is called Foxy. They are both big Teddy Bears and love to run around my fenced in field so have a big area for playtime and fun. They don't bark and are very placid.Akitas are large, strong dogs known for loyalty and calm dignity; they typically bond closely with their family and may be reserved with strangers until they get to know you. If you are interested or would like more information, please get in touch to arrange a meeting. I prefer Goliath and Foxy to go to a new home together if possible but they can be separated. They are 300 each and are only to a very good home.

Tips for purchasing a dog
- Ask sellers to provide an ID (driver's licence / passport) and take note of their contact details. You will also need to provide the same & a proof of address to transfer the microchip to your name.
- Note microchip IDs posted here (981098108869808, 981098108863751) and check the microchip certificates (important) when you visit to make sure they match and the sellers details are on the certificate too (see example microchip certificates).
- Do not purchase a dog without seeing a microchip certificate. It is illegal to sell a dog without a microchip that's fully registered (info).
- Do not purchase a dog from a seller in a car park or other business location.
- Ask sellers about the vet who has taken care of the dogs. Ask for the dog's vaccination certificate(s).
- Use our contract template www.dogs.ie/contract or another as a basis for a written contract & ask for a written receipt.
- It's best not to bring young kids to first meetings, to avoid disappointment in the case you decide not to buy a dog.
