A beautiful male Airedale Terrier is looking for a responsible and loving new home due to an upcoming relocation.

Spartan was born on 1 June 2025 making him 14 months old. He is a handsome black-and-tan Airedale with an affectionate, intelligent and confident nature. He is active, playful and enjoys attention and companionship.

Spartan comes from an excellent champion bloodline, with numerous champions shown throughout his official five-generation pedigree.

Airedales are intelligent, energetic and often known as the “King of Terriers” because they are the largest of the terrier breeds. Spartan would suit an active home where he can receive regular exercise, continued training and plenty of interaction. A secure garden would be preferable.

This is a genuine and difficult rehoming decision caused by relocation. Finding the right home is more important to us than making a quick sale, so we would appreciate serious enquiries from people who can offer him a permanent and caring home.

1. Ask sellers to provide an ID (driver's licence / passport) and take note of their contact details. You will also need to provide the same & a proof of address to transfer the microchip to your name.
2. Note microchip IDs posted here (956000018894730) and check the microchip certificates (important) when you visit to make sure they match and the sellers details are on the certificate too (see example microchip certificates).
3. Do not purchase a dog without seeing a microchip certificate. It is illegal to sell a dog without a microchip that's fully registered (info).
4. Do not purchase a dog from a seller in a car park or other business location.
5. Ask sellers about the vet who has taken care of the dogs. Ask for the dog's vaccination certificate(s).
6. Use our contract template www.dogs.ie/contract or another as a basis for a written contract & ask for a written receipt.
7. It's best not to bring young kids to first meetings, to avoid disappointment in the case you decide not to buy a dog.
