German Shepherd dog for stud in Cork

Charlie is a well bred straight back working line German shepherd. His pedigree would be familiar to those in dog sport.

Trained in Obedience and Protection work, he is a great family dog and offers safety and security for our household and on an individual basis while out for walks.

His Temperament is what puts him in a league above the rest. Calm & Stable in mind but switches on when needed. He is great around kids, albeit he is big but not aggressive towards children or strangers. Switches to high alert only of he senses danger. A really great all-rounder dog.

Charlie is also great with other dogs. Other dogs always seem to radiate towards him and want to stay close to him. Another testament to his character. I have included a video to show how other dogs can bounce off him, swing off his neck and he does not react.

Females can come & stay with us for approx 1 week while they are being covered so please ring in time so we can make sure you have got the timing right!

1. Keep communication through our messaging system for as long as possible.
2. Choose carefully what information you share about yourself.
3. Ask for recent health check certificate from their vet, this should check for known issues with the breed & have details of vaccinations. The AKC has a comprehensive list of their health testing requirements per breed.
4. Ask breeders about their vet who has taken care of the dog and contact the vet directly.
5. Ask breeders to provide their ID (driver's licence / passport) and take note of their contact details.
6. If you are new to breeding, please, please, read this article about breeding dogs.
7. Stud dogs listed need to be 12 months or older. While bigger breeds may mature faster, often health complications don't show until later.
8. Report suspicious activity to your local Garda Station & / or the Department of Agriculture, Food & Marine.
