Introducing Diarmuid Dubh - Duggie for short.

He is a beautiful example of a Kerry Blue Terrier - strong and sturdy with a lovely stand, and an absolute Gentleman. He is our treasured family pet (we have 3 kerries) who loves walks and the sofa in equal measure, cuddles, a strange addiction to teddies and all little people - he is actually our 8 year old's dog and he never leaves her side.

He has been sperm tested 3 times with great results and is a proven stud dog - he recently became father to a HUGE 7 pup litter, bred by me to our lovely girl bluebell. Some of his adorable puppies are featured in the photos.

Mating can take place on site, and we have the experience to ensure the safety of both dogs, or AI can be organised locally by me if preferred. He is very gentle thus would suit maiden or experienced bitches.

The fee includes 2 matings within 48 hours. Also includes a free mating on next season if bitch does not become pregnant first time.

He has a great pedigree -Dad is Volzhzkiy Arkos Octavian At Cushlagorm and dam is Irisblu Alana with champion lines in his grandparents and great grandparents. All his vaccinations and de-worming is up to date.

Fee or pick of the litter can be discussed.

Tips for contacting breeders

  1. Keep communication through our messaging system for as long as possible.
  2. Choose carefully what information you share about yourself.
  3. Ask for recent health check certificate from their vet, this should check for known issues with the breed & have details of vaccinations. The AKC has a comprehensive list of their health testing requirements per breed.
  4. Ask breeders about the vet who has taken care of the dog and contact the vet directly.
  5. Ask breeders to provide their ID (driver's licence / passport) and take note of their contact details.
  6. If you are new to breeding, please, please, read this article about breeding dogs.
  7. Stud dogs listed need to be 12 months or older. While bigger breeds may mature faster, often health complications don't show until later.
  8. Report suspicious activity to your local Garda Station & / or the Department of Agriculture, Food & Marine.
  9. Use our contract template or another as a basis for a written contract.
