Tommy the Dachshund

Handsome standard dachshund available for stud in County Mayo. Tommy is a family pet.

Has an excellent soft Black and Tan fur coat. He is very active and playful while also up for some cuddles. He is very affectionate, obedient and he is very friendly to other dogs and to little humans. He enjoys going on daily walks.

He is a fast runner with a gorgeous shape and shiny mantle.

3. Ask for recent health check certificate from their vet, this should check for known issues with the breed & have details of vaccinations. The AKC has a comprehensive list of their health testing requirements per breed.
4. Ask breeders about the vet who has taken care of the dog and contact the vet directly.
5. Ask breeders to provide their ID (driver's licence / passport) and take note of their contact details.
6. If you are new to breeding, please, please, read this article about breeding dogs.
7. Stud dogs listed need to be 12 months or older. While bigger breeds may mature faster, often health complications don't show until later.
8. Report suspicious activity to your local Garda Station & / or the Department of Agriculture, Food & Marine.
