Irish Wolfhound pups

We are delighted to offer our 5 Irish Wolfhounds here at Courtbrown Kennels; 3 females and 3 males.

These pups come from some of the top breeding lines in the country with the mother's full brother coming first place in the Irish Wolfhound Club of Ireland breed championship show, as seen in the photos.

These pups have been raised in a bed and breakfast and on a farm. They have been given great opportunities for socialization with people and other animals.

The fact that all of these pups have survived is a testament to the quality of care and dedication they have received over the past three months.

These noble pups are eager and waiting to be welcomed into their new homes. With their loyal, gentle and friendly demeanor they make a great family pet for all.

The pups are microchipped and IKC registered. They are fully wormed and vaccinated. No expense was spared when taking care of these pups. My veterinarian is Burkes of Newcastle West and they are willing to verify the above mentioned.

1. Ask sellers to provide an ID (driver's licence / passport) and take note of their contact details. You will also need to provide the same & a proof of address to transfer the microchip to your name.
2. Note microchip IDs posted here (972274200467965, 972274200468137, 972274200467873, 972274200441691, 972274200467974) and check the microchip certificates (important) when you visit to make sure they match and the sellers details are on the certificate too (see example microchip certificates).
3. Do not purchase a dog without seeing a microchip certificate. It is illegal to sell a dog without a microchip that's fully registered (info).
4. Ask to see mother of puppies.
5. Make sure the puppy is 8 weeks before taking ownership of the dog (closer to 10-12 weeks is even better).
6. See puppies in their home environment.
7. Do not purchase a dog from a seller in a car park or other business location.
8. Consider buying a puppy starter pack of essential items .
9. Ask sellers about the vet who has taken care of the dogs. Ask for the dog's vaccination certificate(s).
10. Use our contract template www.dogs.ie/contract or another as a basis for a written contract & ask for a written receipt.
11. It's best not to bring young kids to first meetings, to avoid disappointment in the case you decide not to buy a dog.
